Mikey is the tiniest rabbit we have ever rescued. Weighing in at just a pound and a half, this little cutie was actually turned loose outside! Fortunately, he was smart enough to find a kind family to make his way to where he joined in with the squirrels they were feeding. He is not a baby, we do not know his age, but he is friendly and very curious - exploring everywhere when he is out of his pen! He likes people and enjoys petting. He is neutered and litterbox trained. Because of his small size, Mikey will need to go to a home with no small children or dogs as he could be easily injured. If you think you might like a tiny little friend, please come meet Mikey.

Otto is a four year old Netherland Dwarf who is looking for a new home. He is a darling little 2 pound, neutered boy - playful, yet laid-back enough to enjoy being petted. Two of his favorite things are his hay, which he loves eating and playing with - building nests and tunnels, and also his shelf in his pen, which he spends most of his day on. It gives him a really good vantage point where he can see everything going on in the room and he is quite the curious little fellow. Otto is looking for a home with no small children or dogs as he could be easily hurt if picked up or chased.

George & Babs just came to us after living for two years in Raleigh. George, the brown lop-eared bunny is about 3 years old, and extremely friendly and laid-back - he even tries to play with the vacuum! He just loves digging in his cardboard box, and taking naps completely flopped on his side. Babs, formerly Miss Babcock is a black Rex rabbit with a beautiful coat of the softest velvet. She is about 4 years old, and so sweet and gentle - a little bit more shy than George, she does warm up to people and will definitely come running if you have treats for her! She takes them from you ever so daintily, just like a lady. She has been shuffled around in the rescue system through no fault of her own and we very much want to find this wonderful pair their forever home with a loving family.

Find 'SomeBunny' To Love !
Rambo - The man in the pickup truck was not sure what kind of animal he was seeing running down the middle of the country road that December night. All he knew was that he was running for his life, so the kind man rescued what turned out to be one of the most pitiful-looking rabbits we have ever seen, and we did not even see him at his worst! This survivor bunny, affectionately known as Rambo was infested with mites, filthy and emaciated - by the time we got him into rescue he had been cleaned up and treated for the mites. The infestation had been so bad that he had no fur from his face to his mid-back, and all his pink skin was hanging from his bones he was so skinny. Fortunately, he was very hungry, and soon began to put on weight, and his fur grew in over time. Now, 6 months later, he is healthy and happy, though he still wolfs down his food like he is starving. He is a happy, playful guy, about 6 pounds, who loves all his toys, but loves his cardboard box most of all. He has decorated it exactly to his liking, and loves to spend many hours in there napping or just watching what is going on around him. He is not big on being petted, but we think in a quiet home, with gentle people, he might come around. He is completely litterbox trained, and is a lot of fun to have around - just watching how excited he gets for his greens is worth waiting all day for - so we are hoping for an excellent home for this very deserving rabbit.

Satin

Satin is a pretty brown bunny that looks just like the wild rabbits out in the yards except that she is a domestic breed. Satin weighs about 5 and a half pounds, is spayed and litterbox trained and is about 2 years old. She is a friendly girl who enjoys the indoor life very much - both her play time and her chill time. Oh, and of course, her salad time! No one gets more excited than Satin when the salad spinner comes out - she dances around her pen, and eats them so fast she could not possible know whether she just ate parsley or kale! She enjoys gentle nose rubs and takes treats from your hand. If soft music is playing during naptime she flops over on her side with her whiskers twittering in contentment. This sweet bunny would love a home of her own.

Zorro the little masked bunny is currently being fostered in Raleigh, where he was rescued. He was the only survivor of three rabbits who were turned loose outside - one was hit by a car, and the other one killed by a predator, so one can only imagine the horror this guy went through. Now, three months later, he is neutered, well-fed, and much better natured - realizing life can be pretty great after all, with plenty to eat, and no one trying to kill you. He loves to dance and play when he is out for exercise time, and is also quite active in his pen, throwing his ball, his cat toys, and even his food bowl! He will run up to the side of his pen begging for treats, or petting, whichever you would like to hand out is fine with him! Zorro would probably do best in an adults only home, as he is still somewhat nervous with hands in his pen, but overall he is a sweet, loving rabbit.
